Primary Purpose

In a self-directed role, own and lead the development and submission of complex proposals and direct bids to support the growth of an industry-leading grid controls technology company with the mission to build a renewable, resilient electric grid. The Project Manager will coordinate and produce the proposal response (RFI, RFP, concept paper, direct bid, etc.) whilst assembling a proposal team with the relevant service/product/business knowledge required to win. Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
  • Lead pricing for proposals in close coordination with Finance team
  • Regularly monitor and report on new opportunities and sales performance milestones and metrics using a CRM (Dynamics 365), PRM, and other tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Engineering, or similar field. Required
  • Master’s Degree Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Engineering, or similar field. Preferred

Experience

  • 5+ Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, advanced controls, utility sectors, or related industry in project/program management, sales/business development, or team management roles. Required
  • Experience coordinating and updating CRM, PRM, and Content Management System. Required

SCADA Engineer

Primary Purpose

Manage the design, implementation, and operations of energy control system projects. Responsible for the development of conceptual control solution designs for low and medium voltage generation and distribution systems, preparation of technical specifications, coordination of detail design with contractors and design consultants, review of detail design documents, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and applicable design criteria. Serve as field engineer to implement solutions and provide post-installation support to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

      • Resolve electrical and or control system design, installation, and interface issues that arise at the project site during construction, and assist in the proposal, startup and commissioning of the projects.
      • Perform quality assurance reviews and inspection of electrical designs, equipment and installations to ensure compliance with applicable acceptance criteria, codes, and standards.
      • Responsibilities include travel to manufacturing facilities to inspect assembly of electrical equipment and attend factory testing. Also includes travel to project job sites to oversee installation of electrical materials, equipment and systems.
      • Coordinate electrical design development with equipment suppliers, construction contractors, and consultants.
      • Responsibilities include reviewing electrical design documents and technical specifications and providing responses to same.
      • Develop technical specifications for procurement of electrical equipment and installation services. Prepare technical and commercial bid evaluations for proposals received.
      • Prepare construction plans, schedules and procedures for electrical installations.
      • Develop conceptual designs and provide cost input for electrical generation and distribution systems to support the development of projects and commercial proposals for sale of electrical generation.
      • Performs other project proposal and development activities.

Qualifications

Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Systems Control or related discipline. Required

Experience

      • 5+ years professional experience in Electric Power System Engineering. Required.

Skills and Abilities

      • Knowledge of IEEE Standards and National Electrical Code required
      • Knowledge of utility electric transmission and distribution system design and operations
      • Must be team orientated and be able to work effectively in diverse work groups
      • Must possess the ability to effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication
      • Must clearly and concisely communicate technical and non-technical information and concepts with customers and various levels of management in both formal and informal settings
      • Knowledge of programming languages
      • Knowledge of spreadsheets and database analysis tools
      • Position can be based anywhere in US, requiring up to 25% of time for travel
