Customer Goal 

The operators at the Slate plant face the challenge of managing five individual utility-scale solar PV plants, each governed by its own power purchase agreement (PPA). These plants, part of one of the larger solar PV and battery storage sites in the U.S., interconnect at a single point of interconnection (POI). This project required a solution where the five individual plants would work in unison, ensuring they collectively meet the voltage schedule in the interconnection agreement. 

PXiSE Solution 

PXiSE installed its Renewable Power Plant Controller, a comprehensive solution that provides a combined power plant control and communication network. It manages integrated solar PV with battery storage through active control of PV inverters and the energy management system for battery storage. The controller ensures precise management of power flow and voltage at the POI.
