To meet sustainability objectives, the Martha’s Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) invested in electric buses and installed a solar PV system to keep them charged. Adding battery energy storage was a logical next step—but now the VTA required a means to manage the different distributed energy resources and integrate them with the larger power grid.
PXiSE’s Microgrid Controller filled the needs of this small organization with limited staff resources due to its ability to autonomously balance and optimize energy costs, carbon emissions and resilience.
