New white paper dispels renewable grid myths

A condo building roof covered in solar panels sits behind utility power distribution lines and is surrounded by palm trees.

A new white paper from PXiSE discusses five myths that are hindering the transition to a smart, clean electric grid. The white paper shares examples of how the myths are being dispelled by island communities that are being forced to innovate amidst pressures to increase their renewable portfolios and reduce reliance on fossil-fuels.

Battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid-forming (and following!) inverters, and high-speed controls are all part of the solutions mix that foregoes traditional power generation and its mechanical management methods in favor of the new digital tools of the 21st century grid.
