He began his energy career at NextEra Energy working on renewable energy projects and helping to develop machine learning solutions for power production, energy demand, efficiency, operations, and customer service. Sullivan then spent six years at The Weather Company in its Energy and Utility practice. He provided weather and energy demand software to utilities, investment banks, hedge funds and commodities firms. The Weather Company was acquired by IBM, and Sullivan transitioned to a global role on behalf of IBM’s Energy & Utilities business. Sullivan was also a broadcast meteorologist for more than a decade. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from St. Cloud State University.
